Specialized Services

Print
  • The Office of Specialized Services (OSS) works to ensure that students with disabilities, including mobility, vision, hearing, learning, and other disabilities, enjoy equal access to academic programs and activities in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.

    Classroom Accommodations

The Office of Specialized Services assists students in securing reasonable campus and classroom accommodations, such as:

    • Alternate testing arrangements
    • Adaptive/assistive technology
    • Assistance in arranging other academic support services (e.g., sign language interpreters, books in alternate format, and peer note-takers)

It is the student’s responsibility to self-identify and request services. Students requesting accommodations are required to submit appropriate and recent documentation of their disability.
