Specialized Services for Students with Disabilities

  • Visit the Office of Specialized Services (OSS) website for more information.

The Office of Specialized Services (OSS) works to ensure that students with mobility, vision, hearing, learning, and other disabilities enjoy equal access to academic programs and activities in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.

The OSS assists students in securing reasonable campus/classroom accommodations, such as alternate testing arrangements, adaptive/assistive technology, and assistance in arranging other academic support services (e.g., sign language interpreters, books in alternate format, and peer note-takers).

It is the student’s responsibility to self-identify and request services. Students requesting accommodations are required to submit appropriate and recent documentation of their disability.
