Congratulations on your decision to join the NJCU community. The advisors in the UAC come from various educational, career and life paths. Our experiences give us a wide set of perspectives and approaches we use in our work with students. We welcome the opportunity to work with students as they develop their strengths and abilities and start building their own paths towards academic and professional success.

We invite our campus colleagues to call upon us to assist you with getting information to our students about majors, programs or careers available through your departments or to help you with student referrals.

    The UAC is located in Vodra Hall 101. We are open on Monday 8:00a.m.-7:00 p.m., Tuesday 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., Wednesday 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m., Thursday 8:00 a.m.- 7:00 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

    Our Mission

The University Advisement Center (UAC) provides information and support to assist undergraduate students in completing their general studies requirements, gain entry into an academic major and successfully earn an undergraduate degree. The Center aims to promote student development and success by helping students identify, clarify, and realize their academic goals. Through individualized professional advising, the UAC is committed to engaging students in the achievement of their own educational, personal, and career goals. We seek to foster autonomy by challenging and supporting students in their process towards self-directed lifelong learning.
