  • 2015 Periodic Review Report to Middle States Commission on Higher Education

NJCU is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE)1.  Accredited institutions1 engage in a Self-Study every 10 years and a complete a Periodic Review Report (PRR) at the mid-point between self-studies.  NJCU's PRR is due June 1, 2015.

Completing the PRR gives NJCU the opportunity to engage in a retrospective, current, and prospective analysis.  As described in the PRR Handbook, the objectives of the PRR are:

    1. Assess the impact of significant developments, changes, or challenges
    2. Assess our response to the recommendations stemming from the 2010 Self-Study
    3. Review our enrollment trends, financial status, and enrollment and financial projections
    4. Examine implementation of Standard 7 (Institutional Assessment) and Standard 14 (Assessment of Student Learning)
    5. Assess the extent to which there are linkages between institutional planning and budgeting

Preparations for our PRR began in the spring of 2013, and the coordinating committee began meeting September 2013. This site describes the process and its progress.
