NJCU academic programs cover broad ground and a range of interests. NJCU’s individual attention to its students, combined with exciting opportunities typically offered only in much larger universities, creates an educational value and experience that consistently exceeds expectations of its students.
Our outstanding faculty is integral to creating the NJCU academic experience. Remarkably, 89% of our prestigious instructors are recognized experts who carry the highest academic credentials in their field. Many are involved in the community. All are dedicated to excellence in teaching and innovation in scholarship. Our students identified NJCU’s faculty as the University’s greatest asset in a 2009 survey by an independent research firm.
NJCU’s academic curriculum is comprehensive, featuring 41 undergraduate degree programs and 27 graduate degree and diploma programs offered through the William J. Maxwell College of Arts and Sciences, the Deborah Cannon Partridge Wolfe College of Education, and the College of Professional Studies.
The common denominator? Each of New Jersey City Univeristy's degree programs complements pure academics with a focus on “learning to learn” through critical thinking, decision-making, and hands-on experience. Outside the classroom, students enjoy access to cooperative learning and potential employment opportunities through NJCU’s unique strategic partnerships with businesses and organizations in the surrounding community. Create your future as part of the NJCU academic community.
