    Biography

    Chuck Plosky, Professor in Art at New Jersey City University, works in clay to make vessels, furniture and large sculptures. The sculptures belong in two categories (1) figurative mythological stories (2) analytic sculptures of pottery forms as monumental architectural matrixes. He has worked as a kiln designer and kiln builder for artists and institutions. His furniture and vessels have been purchased by designers and architects for themselves and their clients.

    Having studied at Pratt Institute, and the Corcoran School of Art he received an MFA degree from Syracuse University. He has exhibited and sold work in America and Europe.

    Currently exhibits: - Loveed Fine Art, 575 Madison, NYC; Julian Jadow Ceramics, 24 West 57th Street NYC. Has shown at Everson Museum, Syracuse NY; Smithsonian Institution, Washington, DC; Museum of Contemporary Crafts, NYC; Concorso International Della Arte Ceramica, Faenza, Italy; SOFA, NYC; Christie’s, NYC; New Jersey State Museum.
