    Master in Business Administration

    The Master in Business Administration (M.B.A.) prepares students to lead and manage organizations through a mastery of broadly applicable core disciplines including: organizational leadership and management; finance; and marketing. Graduates acquire skills tailored to today’s service-dominated economy, where success demands solutions of complex problems. Graduates are prepared to lead a diverse workforce and are able to compete in a multicultural global marketplace.

    The 36 credit course of study consists of a core curriculum of 21 credits, an area of specialization of 12 credits, and a capstone course of three credits. Learners may choose a specialization from one of the following areas:

    Admission Requirements:

    • The completion of a Bachelor’s degree.
      • A student with no undergraduate background in business may be required to take either undergraduate courses in business or Graduate Business Essentials, BUSI 599.
       
    • Meet all minimum requirements of the Graduate Studies Office. These requirements include: completed application; transcripts; recommendation letters; essay; resume; and GMAT test results.
      • An interview may be requested.
       
    • Additional requirements for international students include: Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) test result, and Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE), or World Education Services (WES) evaluation of international transcripts.
      • Graduate courses from other institutions may be accepted with approval of the Graduate Business Department. 
       
    • There are two acceptance categories: 
             Conditional - incomplete applications or applicants who have not taken the GMAT where required. 
             Matriculated - all application requirements have been met. 
             Please note: Financial Aid and Loans require matriculation status. 

    Graduate courses are held at NJCU at HARBORSIDE located at Financial Center Plaza 4A, 286 Washington Street, Jersey City, New Jersey, 07302.
