The mission of the Educational Technology Department is to improve teaching and learning with technology—in classrooms, colleges, school districts, school libraries, and the private sector.

Our graduates have gone on to become master teachers, school library media specialists, published researchers and authors, and professional developers. They are technology leaders on the district, state, and national level. The department consists of nationally recognized leaders in the field and it is the only Master’s Degree program in New Jersey that is accredited by the International Society of Technology in Education (ISTE).

Educational Technology Programs: 

• Doctor of Education (Ed.D) in Educational Technology Leadership: The Ed.D. in Educational Technology Leadership refocuses graduate education to respond to market needs, yet maintain the high standards required of doctoral education.
• Masters of Arts in Educational Technology: This ISTE accredited program focuses on developing expertise in teaching with technology for classroom, school, and district improvement. 
• Master of Arts in Educational Technology with a Specialization in School Library Media: This ALA/AASL-accredited program leads to the NJ State License as a supervisor of a school library media centers and a Master of Arts Degree in Educational Technology (matriculation required). 
• Associate School Library Media Specialist Certification: This ALA/AASL-accredited graduate certification program leads to the Associate School Library Media Specialist certification in NJ (matriculation not required).
