  • The goals of our partnership programs are to:
    • Work with outside institutions and organizations to develop innovative applications and programs
    • Conduct research in educational technology
    • Disseminate best practices
    • Identify critical areas in education and develop innovative solutions

The Partnership Initiative is a catalysis and incubator for innovative and important applications of educational technology. We offer external evaluations, curriculum development, professional development, and other services.

    Current Projects:

    • Technology and the Common Core: We have partnered with the Bayonne, NJ School District to develop innovative applications of technology in the Language Arts Common Core in grades K-12.

    • Technology and Students with Low-Incidence Disabilities: Working with A. Harry Moore School, we are designing applications of digital media and performance to improve the cognitive, social, and academic development of students with severe disabilities.

    • The Sound of Science: This initiative explores the applications of audio and audio editing in STEM education from grades six through graduate school. The work will be available to educators around the world. This is a grant-funded project that is part of the HPSTEMx Catalyst Initiative and HP Catalyst Academy.

    • Micro MOOC: UDL: We are designing and researching a MOOC on Universal Design for Learning. This ‘Micro-MOOC’ gives an overview and assessment of Universal Design for Learning principles. This resource will be used by practicing and pre-service teachers, school districts, and colleges of education around the country.
