The Occupational Outlook Handbook states that "Employment of registered nurses is expected to grow 26 percent from 2010 to 2020, faster than the average for all occupations. Job opportunities for registered nurses are expected to be excellent. Generally, registered nurses with at least a bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) will have better job prospects than those without one."
OGSP has secured funding that will help strengthen the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at NJCU in years ahead. A joint admissions program with HCCC, Christ Hospital and Bayonne Medical Center has been established to help students easily transition from associates' level programs to the bachelor's program at NJCU.
