Peer-reviewed / Scholarly Journal Articles

What are peer-reviewed / scholarly journal articles?

Peer-reviewed articles, refereed articles or scholarly journal articles are usually considered to be the same kind of publication. These articles are reviewed by experts in a specific discipline ( the author's "peers" ) before they are published in a journal. The purpose of peer review is to ensure that the highest quality articles are published.

How to search for peer-reviewed articles?

Library databases are the best tool to search for peer-reviewed/scholarly journal articles. Many databases allow you to limit your search to only peer-reviewed / scholarly journal articles
