    A bachelors of science degree in Health Science prepares students as highly competent health professionals who are also:

    • Critical thinkers and problem solvers
    • Self-directed learners
    • Effective communicators

    Classes are given in a variety of formats in order to meet the different needs of our students. Undergraduate courses are offered in the day and evening. Some courses are web-enhanced and some are offered on weekends. 

    The requirements for admission to this degree track are:

    • A minimum cumulative undergraduate grade point average (CGPA) of 2.5 
    • A minimum GPA of 2.75 in all Health courses 
    • Completion of the All University Requirements and the following specific courses (with minimum GPA of 2.0)
      • BIOL 104: The Human Body
      • BIOL 106: Practical Nutrition
      • GEOG 250:  GS I: Contemporary Applications of GIS  
    • Recommended Pre-requisite
      • GEOG 350: Geographic Informations Systems II
    •   All seniors must take the Community Health Education Specialist (CHES) exam prior to graduation.
