The Opportunity Scholarship Program (OSP) provides support services to help qualified students prepare for a successful start at NJCU. Opportunity Scholarship students strengthen their academic and classroom skills prior to the fall or spring semester through a six-week orientation program.
Qualifying for an Opportunity Scholarship
To qualify for an Opportunity Scholarship, a student must:
- Be a resident of New Jersey for at least one year prior to receiving an OSP grant
- Have a high school diploma or GED certificate
- Demonstrate through an OSP interview the motivation to complete a college program
- Qualify financially
- Agree to participate in the orientation program.
