    The Professional Studies Department at NJCU utilizes the knowledge and background of professionals in the field of National Security for advisment of the The Dr. Dorothy E. Denning Center for Academic Excellence and degree requirements.

    A Center Advisory Board provides direction to ensure the Center fulfills its role within NJCU’s strategic plan. In addition, the Board attracts individuals from the American Society for Industrial Security – International (ASIS), the Association for Intelligence Officers (AFIO), Homeland Security Defense Education Consortium Association (HSDECA), federal, state, and local law enforcement, and corporations. 

    Members of the Advisory Board include:

     
    The current Superintendent of the NJ State Police, Joseph Rick Fuentes, Ph.D.

    The former Assistant Director of the FBI and Current Vice President of the World Wide Security Group at Johnson and Johnson, Kevin Donovan.

    Corporate and Information Technology Security directors from Lucent Technology.

    Recipient of the Attorney General’s Distinguished Service Award as Outstanding Law Enforcement Officer of the Year and best selling author of Boss of Bosses, and former Special Agent of the FBI, Joseph F. O’Brien.
