John Crant is a Career Coach, Author and Speaker on overcoming employment, job hunting and hiring challenges. He began his work in the Executive Recruitment industry more than 15 years ago when he joined F-O-R-T-U-N-E Personnel Consultants' national headquarters. He recruited for both startups and Fortune 500 companies, before rising in the ranks to become Vice President of the organization. During his tenure, he launched several successful initiatives, including championing a further development of their national New Recruiter Training Program; a full redevelopment of their Audio Training Series, and lead daily tele- conferences, regional seminars and taught his insights at the national conference of business owners. He has the unique combination of a Liberal Arts degree and extensive training with the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute which deepens his understanding of human and social nature, enhancing his presentation and communication abilities. In 2005, he started Provident Resource, Inc., his own recruiting firm specializing in the software industry. In 2009, he founded SelfRecruiter.com and his energies are now focused on helping a broader audience with his book, audiobook and training series, in addition to his private coaching practice.

Accounting students who will graduate in 2013 will be the beneficiaries of an average starting salary that has increased by 7 percent over last year, according to the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE).
