Dr. James F. Konopack Named Associate Dean of NJCU School of Business

James “Jim” F. Konopack, Ph.D. has been appointed Associate Dean of the NJCU School of Business following a national search.

Dr. Konopack joins the senior management team at the NJCU School of Business, following 12 years of higher education experience at Monmouth University, where he held a number of progressive leadership positions, including Program Coordinator, Founding Department Chair, NCAA Faculty Athletics Representative, and most recently Associate Dean of the School of Nursing and Health Studies. In May 2017, he received Monmouth University’s “Distinguished Teacher of the Year Award.”

Dr. Konopack earned his Ph.D. in kinesiology from the University of Illinois, where he received his department’s “Most Outstanding Graduate Student” award and a National Institutes of Health (NIH) pre-doctoral fellowship. He holds a master’s degree from the School of Education at Boston University, and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Cornell University.

Born and raised in Hunterdon County, Dr. Konopack is a nature lover, youth sports coach, and trail runner who is getting closer to his personal goal of running a marathon or ultramarathon in all 50 states. He lives in Howell, NJ with his wife Sheryl and their two sons, Trenton and Oliver.
