NJCU School of Business collaborated with Fidelity Investments for the 2017-2018 school year as part of a nationwide initiative Fidelity started with local universities near several of its office locations. Fidelity invited university professors to present to the TAP Academy. TAP stands for Talent Acceleration Program and was established as an opportunity for Fidelity associates to focus on personal and professional development. The program began seven years ago, and many associates have moved on to leadership roles in the company as a result of the program.
Dr. Wanda Rutledge, Director, NJCU Graduate Business Programs and Associate Professor, Management Department, kicked off the partnership on September 7, 2017 with the workshop “Managing for Internal Innovation”.
On January 18, 2018, Dr. David Weiss, Founder & Director of the Institute for Dispute Resolution and visiting scholar at NJCU, presented to the TAP Academy on the topic of “Repositioning Conflict”.
Two more workshops will be scheduled during the academic year and will cover areas that are relevant to the financial world and in particular, Fidelity Investments.
