Five NJCU Business Students Inducted into Prestigious Statewide Honor Society

Four recent graduates of the New Jersey City University School of Business are inductees into the Honor Society of the New Jersey Collegiate Business Administration Association (NJCBAA).

The NJCBAA is an association of the two- and four-year institutions across New Jersey. A nomination to the Honor Society is a “very prestigious” acknowledgement that nominees are among the top 1 percent of all business students in the state, according to Marilyn Ettinger, Chairperson and Professor of Finance, and Interim Chair of Economics, at the NJCU School of Business.

“The importance of this honor is heightened by the way it is celebrated,” explained Ettinger, of the April 27 event. “For all of the Honor Society’s 15 years, the induction ceremony has been held in the Assembly chamber at the State House in Trenton, abounding in historical significance and state symbolism.”

“The ceremony is attended not only by deans, faculty, and family members, but also by state representatives who applaud the honorees and encourage them to go forth and become leaders in New Jersey businesses and their communities.”

The School of Business has nominated students to the Honor Society every year since its inception.
