About Bronia Ichel

Bronia Ichel was born in Poland and came to the United States with her family at the age of thirteen.  An artist and an educator, based in Naples Florida, Bronia explores textural patterns and vivid color painting with acrylics, mixed media, and the fibers of hand made Asian papers to create transformative layers of color.  Interested in sustainability and the natural world Bronia uses a unique process to transform the layers of hand made papers into surprising textures and colors in her paintings.

Bronia holds an MA degree in Fine Art and Art Education from NJCU and continued with graduate courses in printmaking and photography at Kean University. She has been fortunate to have the opportunity travel, paint, and teach in many parts of  the world including New Jersey, New Orleans, Virginia, Canada, Singapore, the Netherlands, United Kingdom, and most recently in Naples, FL where she holds a  studio/gallery located in the Naples Art District.

Prior to settling in Naples, Bronia held a juried studio space at the Workhouse Art Center in Lorton, VA, just outside of Washington DC.  She exhibited in a solo exhibition at the Workhouse and was also on their teaching staff.  Being an experienced art teacher in  public schools, she developed and taught art classes there.

Her works are in public and private collections in United States, Canada, Asia, and Europe.

Bronia is a member of the Naples Art Association, Naples Art District and is a volunteer docent at the Baker Art Museum.   She can be found painting and teaching classes at her Naples studio space.
