NJCU Foundation Appoints Lissiah Taylor Hundley, DiversityInc. and Aisha Thomas-Petit, ADP to Board

The New Jersey City University (NJCU) Foundation announced the appointment of Lissiah Taylor Hundley and Aisha Thomas-Petit to the NJCU Foundation Board of Directors.

The two new members bring tremendous depth of experiences and innovative perspectives to the Foundation.  In commenting on the appointments, NJCU President Sue Henderson, Ph.D. said, “We are thrilled that Lissiah Taylor Hundley and Aisha Thomas-Petit have agreed to bring their talents and insights to the NJCU Foundation Board. Their individual achievements, professional acumen and visionary leadership will be vital to the Board’s ongoing success in expanding its philanthropic goals.”

Lissiah Hundley serves as the Head of Strategic Partnerships and Client Fulfillment for DiversityInc. In this new role, Hundley manages corporate partnerships and supports product development, account management, survey development, and partner events. Hundley joined DiversityInc. in July and reports to CEO, Carolynn Johnson.

 Previously, Hundley served as the Vice President of Workforce Diversity and Inclusion, University Relations, and Military Hiring for Comcast Cable. There she led a team of talent acquisition, communications, and diversity and inclusion professionals responsible for the attraction and acquisition of diverse, high performing talent. Her teams focused on building and leading employee programs and initiatives driving engagement and supporting an inclusive work environment. Hundley partnered with and provided strategic guidance to business leaders and key stakeholders across the Comcast organization. She also led the engagement with core national and local diversity partners, universities, and organizations.

Hundley also served as the Diversity and Inclusion Strategist for Cox Enterprises in Atlanta. There she was the company’s most senior diversity and inclusion advisor, and partnered with Cox’s divisions, including Cox Communications, Cox Automotive (Manheim and Auto Trader), and Cox Media Group. Hundley worked closely with the executive diversity councils in each division, and was responsible for leading the build and implementation of the company’s first Employee Resource Groups. Prior to Cox, Hundley served as the Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion at Wells Fargo Bank. She was responsible for leading the enterprise Diversity and Inclusion team, overseeing Employee Resource Groups and leading diversity programs and initiatives. In other roles, Hundley has also worked abroad managing Operations Centers in Jamaica and the Philippines.

Hundley holds a Juris Doctor degree from St. Mary’s Law School in Texas. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Power & Potential, founded by Jane Fonda. Previously, she served on the DisabilityIn, Disability Equality Index Advisory Committee, and the Emma Bowen Foundation board. Named one of the Top Executives in Corporate Diversity, by Black Enterprise Magazine, Hundley has been a featured speaker at national forums, including the DiversityInc. Top 50 Event, the ANA Multicultural Marketing and Diversity Summit, the DisabilityIn National Conference, and the Mortgage Bankers Association’s Annual Summit.

Aisha Thomas-Petit

Aisha Thomas-Petit serves as Chief Diversity, Inclusion & Corporate Social Responsibility Officer for ADP.  She leads ADP’s global diversity and inclusion strategic roadmap for attracting, developing and retaining top talent. Aisha is also the Chair of the Sustainability/CSR Steering Committee and VP and Secretary of the ADP Foundation.

Prior to this role, Aisha was the Division Vice President of Human Resources for ADP Major Account Services and Canada, which provides human capital management solutions to midmarket clients in the United States and cross-market clients in Canada.

Aisha began her career in financial services 20+ years ago, starting as a management trainee in investment banking operations.  She moved into human resources in 2000 and has spent the last decade focused on aligning human capital strategy to business strategy in large global organizations; impacting business through critical leadership roles in Talent Acquisition, Recruitment Marketing, Diversity, and as an Executive HR Business Partner.

 

Aisha joined ADP in 2013 to help build out a new technology innovation lab in New York City.  She served as a Senior Director, HR Business Partner in both the Global Product and Technology and Major Accounts organizations.  Aisha also extended her HCM thought leadership as a Vice President, Human Resources for Sales.  In each role, her priorities have always been executive partnership, organizational sensing, effective assessment of business needs, optimization of teams and flawless execution of strategic people initiatives.

Throughout her career, Aisha has taken to heart the notion that “each person counts”, which is one of ADP’s core values.  She has mentored countless young professionals, has been an active leader in several internal business resource groups and external philanthropic organizations centered on helping people reach their highest potential, especially women, minorities and the underprivileged and at risk.  Aisha also serves as a Commissioner on the Housing Board in the town where she resides.

Aisha holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Syracuse University and an MBA from Rutgers University.

The NJCU Foundation plays a key role in attracting private funds to support academic programs without imposing burdensome tuition increases. Revenue raised by the Foundation also funds scholarships which offset tuition costs for promising students.
