JERSEY CITY, N.J. | New Jersey City University (NJCU)’s Speicher-Rubin Women's Center for Equity and Diversity will host a virtual Community Hour event entitled “Eliminating Racial Disparities in Maternal and Infant Mortality” on Thursday, February 11 from 2-3:30 p.m.
New Jersey First Lady Tammy Murphy — a champion on the issue of maternal and infant health since the inception of the Murphy Administration in 2018 — will deliver opening remarks to highlight the powerful and impactful program.
On January 25, the First Lady, in collaboration with public health experts, unveiled the Nurture NJ Maternal and Infant Health Plan – a strategy to reduce New Jersey’s high rates of maternal and infant mortality, and eliminate the racial disparities responsible for these deaths.
