Dear Members of the NJCU Community,

The National Weather Service is forecasting a winter storm with blizzard conditions and up to 18 inches of snow, to impact our state, beginning tonight and lasting throughout the day on Saturday. In preparation, Governor Murphy has declared a State of Emergency effective at 5 p.m. today.

Due to the impending storm, please note the status of academic and business operations planned for Saturday, January 29, 2022.

  • The University will be closed for in-person activities at its main campus, School of Business, and Fort Monmouth locations, and all scheduled events have been postponed or canceled. This includes Saturday's basketball doubleheader vs. TCNJ, which has been rescheduled for Monday night.
  • All Saturday classes, already scheduled to be held virtually through January 31, will be held online, as scheduled.
  • This announcement does not apply to weather-essential personnel, who should report as usual. Nonessential personnel should not report to campus.
  • Shuttle Services: The shuttle will continue operating for residential students and we will continue monitoring conditions.
