JERSEY CITY, N.J. |New Jersey City University (NJCU)’s Division of Professional Education and Lifelong Learning, in a partnership between the NJCU Center for Workforce & Community Development and the Hudson County Small Business Development Center, will offer Import & Export Agent Training beginning on April 5 through June 30, 2022.
The 13-week, 48-course hour offering meets twice weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-8:30 p.m. in an online format via Zoom.
This training provides participants with in-depth foundational knowledge from industry experts and professionals on the processes and procedures needed to become a successful Import & Export Agent. Well-trained agents with up-to-date knowledge on importing and exporting requirements are needed in the International Trade industry. Properly trained agents reduce delays in shipping, ensure that businesses are compliant and avoid penalties of regulations established by U.S. regulatory agencies, and guarantee timely payment.
Individuals who successfully complete this program will receive a Certificate of Completion from NJCU and an opportunity to meet and interview with employers seeking to fill open positions.
The tuition for the course is $1,295 and WIOA (The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act) funding is available for eligible participants.
