JERSEY CITY, N.J. | On May 16, New Jersey City University (NJCU) Interim President Andrés Acebo appeared on the Spanish language morning variety show "Ino Contigo". During the nearly 30-minute segment, President Acebo shared his family’s story, the power of the NJCU community, and the privilege he has to protect and advance NJCU's mission as the only Hispanic leading any college or university in the state of New Jersey.
The appearance is the latest in a series of media appearances this semester in NJCU’s ongoing efforts to meet our linguistically and culturally diverse communities. In support of the university’s published Recovery and Revitalization Plan, Acebo articulated the challenges that students face, the efforts of NJCU to serve the Hispanic/Latino community, including helping students achieve their educational goals, and how NJCU has become the most transfer friendly in the state of New Jersey.
The program’s host is Ino Gomez, an award-winning veteran of Spanish radio in the New York and Miami metro areas.
