HACU Hosted Virtual Emerging Leaders’ Summit with NJCU

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU), in partnership with New Jersey City University, hosted a virtual Emerging Leaders’ Summit on June 15, 2023.
The one-day event focused on preparing students for internships and career opportunities in STEM and business fields. NJCU President Andrés Acebo delivered inspiring welcome remarks to kickoff this event that brought together students from 51 colleges and universities online with professionals and corporate representatives.

The summit comes a month after Acebo welcomed HACU to the campus on May 5 for a roundtable discussion on the crucial role that Hispanic-serving institutions play in uplifting communities and providing equal access to education, and the importance of investing in HSIs.
