“On behalf of the entire New Jersey City University community, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of retired Ecuadorian Consul General Edmundo Alfonso Morales Suárez. Throughout his distinguished diplomatic service in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, he was a steadfast advocate for his homeland, particularly for the vibrant Ecuadorian community in our state, and a true partner to NJCU. We are especially grateful for his pivotal role in facilitating the historic visit of Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa to our university in March 2024. His recent passing is a profound loss, and we stand with the Ecuadorian community in honoring the legacy of a dedicated diplomat, a cherished friend, and a tireless champion for his people.”
