Celebrating NJCU's Graduates of African Descent
For students of African descent, earning an undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral degree is a feat not accomplished by many that came before them due to enslavement, segregation, racism, and injustice.
In recognition of their sacrifices—as well as those made by their ancestors and family members—we mark this time with a ceremony that recognizes the historic importance of this momentous occasion.
Guest Speaker
