After earning a Graphic Design AOS and a Communication Design BFA at Pratt Institute, while working as freelance graphic designer for two major recording labels, Allison became the graphic designer at New Jersey City University in 1994, then named Jersey City State College. Her job was to help re-design printed and promotional materials for the University to reflect the name change, and new curriculum. She hand-coded the first NJCU website, and set the University up with popular social media channels to promote their curriculum.
Allison's fine art has been shown in galleries in New York City, as well as Jersey City, New Jersey where she resides. She has also studied at The Cooper Union, and School of Visual Arts, and received her MA degree in Educational Technology from New Jersey City University in 2012.
