Dr. James Broderick has taught at NJCU for 25 years. A former journalist and editor, he teaches composition and literature courses.
The author of nine books and several articles in publications such as The Huffington Post, Quill, The Chicago Tribune, and NJ.com, his plays have been performed in New York City and northern New Jersey. His most recent drama, Holmestead, was nominated for best play in the New York Theatre Festival, 2022, and his play The Hamlet Experience was nominated for best off-off Broadway play by BroadwayWorld.com.
His research interests include Irish Literature, Nineteenth Century American Literature, the drama of Ancient Greece, and conspiracy theories. He is currently collaborating on a full-length musical about the mythical creature the Sphinx.
