Summary

Dr. Krista Welz is a Library Media Specialist in North Bergen High School, New Jersey. She also teaches the Independent Scientific Research Honors course for the Science Department. Being a lifelong resident of her town, she also worked for the town's public library for seven years as the Children’s Librarian. She is a Google for Education Certified Trainer and Coach.

In 2017, she was awarded North Bergen High School's Educational Services Professional of the Year and Library Journal's 2017 Mover & Shaker Educator. In March 2017, she was awarded as a Tech Troubadour Social Media Superstar from the American Association of School Librarians (AASL). In 2018, she was awarded the Presidential Scholarship from the Executive Women of New Jersey.

In March 2019, Krista completed her doctorate in the Educational Technology Leadership Program at New Jersey City University. She is also an adjunct faculty member for the Educational Technology & Literacy Education Departments. She specializes in technology integration in schools and libraries. She is a graphic and web designer.
