Research Interests

Rich is the Coordinator of National Security Studies undergraduate degree program at the NJCU @ Wall Campus, Wall, NJ. He is a committed instructor, mentor, and leader, who utilizes a pragmatic approach to instruction along with integrating both academic and experiential expertise into the classroom environment. He is a retired lieutenant from the New Jersey State Police with over twenty-five years of experience completing his final three years of service in the Homeland Security Branch. There he provided oversight to the following programs: Urban Area Security Initiative (U.A.S.I.), Target Hardening Response & Emergency Activation Teams (T.H.R.E.A.T.), vulnerability assessments, school security initiative bench marks, and other collaborative efforts pursued with federal, state, county, local governmental organizations.
