Peer-Led Supplemental Instruction

Free, peer-led Supplemental Instruction (SI) is available to all NJCU students enrolled in many classes for STEM majors.

• Students make appointments for Supplemental Instruction with our online reservation system: http://njcu.mywconline.com/. First-time users of the system will establish accounts.
• When logged in, the drop-down menu is used to choose in subjects for SI. Currently, SI is available  for biology, chemistry, and math.
• After selecting an SI subject, a schedule of SI availability is used to choose SI sessions. The current week will display, but upcoming weeks can be accessed by clicking "Next Week."
• Click "save appointment” once you have filled out the request form.
• Appointments cannot be made within 24 hours of the scheduled time.
• Appointments can be canceled by clicking "Cancel this appointment?” and then clicking “Save”.
• Please be respectful of your tutor's time and provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel an appointment ONLY in the case of an emergency, you can cancel an appointment by calling the Biology department at 201-200-3054.
• Please be advised that students may be prevented from participating in the tutoring program if they miss more than two appointments without providing notice ahead of time.
• Students who have received tutoring should make sure that they sign their tutor's timesheet to confirm that the appointment took place.
