Why Beatboxing and Strings?
- Beatboxing transcends cultural boundaries, drawing inspiration from diverse musical traditions,
including African drumming, Latin percussion, and electronic dance music. By appreciating these
cross-cultural connections, students and teachers broaden their rhythmic vocabulary and gain a
global perspective on music. - Beatboxing bridges the gap between oral traditions such as Suzuki and rote education and
traditional written notation used in traditional western classical education. - Beatboxing encourages collaboration and stimulates creativity: add Beatboxing to existing
repertoire or encourage interdisciplinary projects with other academic subjects. - Oh, and it’s just plain FUN - and AWESOME!
