Kean Jersey City is Coming!

Big News! Bigger opportunities! Kean is coming to Jersey City.

Under a merger agreement between New Jersey City University (NJCU) and Kean University, effective July 1, 2026, students accepted to NJCU will officially become Kean students, pending state and regulatory approval.

The Jersey City campus will operate as Kean Jersey City, an additional location of Kean—a proud, national research university.

Students in Jersey City will experience a seamless transition to becoming Kean students, with additional academic advisement and support services, as well as clubs, activities, and events right here on the Jersey City campus.

This is more than a merger. It’s a transformation built for you. Join us.
