  • The Music, Dance and Theatre department at New Jersey City University brings together internationally recognized classical and jazz performers, composers, music educators and musicologists to provide students with an exciting and valuable learning experience. Located in Jersey City, New Jersey close to public transportation, our campus is just minutes from the symphony, ballet, opera, musical theatre, chamber music and jazz club venues available in New York City.

We offer a wide selection of musical opportunities for students. The performance possibilities include solo recitals, chamber music, large instrumental and choral ensemble concerts, and opera and musical theatre productions.

Additionally, the Music, Dance and Theatre department employs approximately 80 outstanding performers from the New York City metropolitan area as adjunct instructors who teach private lessons, work as coaches and accompanists, and offer specialty courses.
