Undergraduate Finance Degree
The Finance specialization prepares individuals for careers in the financial management of businesses, government and non-profit organizations. It provides students with specific skills in finance complementing a broad business competency.
The Bachelor of Science in Finance Program emphasizes professional skills informed by a solid theoretical foundation. Courses are taught by faculty members who possess both extensive industry experience and strong academic credentials. Finance students have to opportunity to hone their skills by participating in NJCU's award-winning Student Investment Management Group and through internships at many of the metropolitan area's most prestigious companies. In addition, the NJCU chapter of Delta Mu Delta, the national business honor society, offers students entree into lifelong professional development and networking opportunities.
The NJCU School of Business at New Jersey City University has launched a new Bachelor of Science in Business Analytics and Data Science designed to prepare students for careers in the field of data analytics. The Bachelor of Science in Business Analytics and Data Science program will prepare students with the skills needed to gather, store, analyze, and interpret large amounts of data to facilitate data driven business decision making. The program is designed to provide students with real world experiences in data driven decision making. Students will learn cutting edge analytical skills, including popular machine learning techniques such as Deep Learning, and use software tools that are currently popular in the industry. Graduates of the program will be thoroughly prepared to hit the ground running when they enter the workforce.
The newly launched Bachelor of Science in Business Information Systems program will prepare students with the skills needed to work in the information technology industry. The program is designed as a bridge between business and technology. Different from a pure computer science program or a traditional business program, this program equips student with both business knowledge and technical skills. Students will learn how to design a business-strategic plan aligning with technology and information system principals.
