NJCU provides rigorous training through a vibrant curriculum covering all aspects of theatrical production. Our faculty guides you from the classroom to the stage, preparing you for a career in the performing arts while fostering a supportive community of artists. NJCU Musical Theatre has multiple opportunities to perform throughout the year from a fully staged musical each semester, to cabaret type performances, on and off campus. Whether you’re envisioning yourself on the stage or contributing behind the scenes, the NJCU Musical Theatre Performance degree equips you with the skills and confidence to make your mark in the world of theatre.
Join the Performance: Opportunities for Non-Majors
But the spotlight isn’t just for Musical Theatre Majors! Music Minors and Non-majors are invited to join our school productions, alongside Musical Theatre Performance Majors. Audition to perform on stage or join our technical or stage crew members behind the scenes. If you are a singer, you may also be interested in auditioning for the Concert Chorale which performs at the end of each semester. Schedule some time for a conversation so we can find a place to showcase your skills and collaborate in a rich, creative environment.
