Office of Community Standards
Report a Student Conduct or Title IX Incident
What are the goals of OCS at NJCU?
The Office of Community Standards (OCS) at NJCU wants all students to experience a civil campus environment where they feel supported and valued. To that extent, OCS will ensure that students abide by NJCU’s student conduct policies and procedures, all of which can be found on this page. Students also need to know their rights and responsibilities as “good citizens” so that they can contribute to making NJCU a safe community. OCS will provide student learning opportunities that focus on campus conduct, active bystander intervention, Title IX protections, conflict resolution, and more.
What are the main responsibilities of OCS?
OCS has several chief functions, including (but not limited to) the following:
- Management of student conduct records
- Coordination of student conduct hearings, including incident investigation and hearing board formation
- Education and training of students, faculty, and staff on various conduct-related topics
With whom does OCS work to achieve its goals?

- Division of Student Affairs
- Associate Dean of Students
- Title IX Coordinator
- Housing and Residence Life
- Public Safety
